Good day buddies and buddettes,
Just a quick update, still sweating like a proverbial `artist of rap music´, haven´t yet been imprisoned for insulting anyone through my incomprehension of the use of my spanish but almost took the top of my head off.
Last night I awoke from the subconcious realisation that a mozzie had just entered my room probably with the thirst of an Aussie.
So thinking I can get the better of Snr Vampiro I thought I would stick my mozzie net up. Great idea eh¿ Well not really- standing up on my bed with net ready to attach to the ceiling I forgot the ceiling fan was on which was whizzing round like something that whizzes round very fast indead, and took a large chunk of head off – bit like cracking open the top of a boiled egg. Anyhow, it bloody well hurt, and it went through to my skull. Luckily (mmm) my lack of follicles meant that it was a clean cut and apart from a gash and a bump on my head (no tittering in the back) I am still alive, and unfortuantely so is the bloody mosquito who drained me of a few pints of the crimson nectar.
Anyhow nothing much more to tell you, apart from there are very few travellers here which is kinda nice but also a bit frustrating as there is very little info here to guide the weary traveller. So i will be heading off to Quito on Monday to sample the delights of the mountains, rainforests and a completely different species of giant Skeeter.
